Our traditional Peruvian dolls are 100% hand made in Cuzco, Peru. We’ve given each of them a unique Quechuan name. The Quechua people are indigenous to the highlands of the Andes Mountains in South America. All dolls feature hand loomed and hand woven clothing made out of wool, alpaca, and cotton fibers. The sandals, or ojotas, are crafted out of recycled rubber from tire inner tubes.
Kuzco is named after the city, often spelled Cusco, located in southeastern Peru. As you can see, Kuzco is a very talented man. He is playing a traditional flute called a quena at the same time as he is weaving a belt, or chumpi!
